1. The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kano State Adolescent Girls’ Initiative for Learning and Empowerment Project (KNAGILE) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Construction of 49 Secondary Schools, including 30) Junior Secondary Schools and 19) Senior Secondary Schools, Phase 1, package 1: lots 1 to 12 in Kano State. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.
