The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent, global humanitarian organization that protects the rights of people forced to flee their homes due to conflict, violence, and disasters. Founded in 1946 as “Aid to Europe” to assist refugees after World War II, it has grown into one of the world’s largest humanitarian organizations, with approximately 15,000 aid workers assisting almost 10 million people across over 40 countries.
