BACKGROUND
The Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector in Bauchi State is critical to public health, environmental sustainability, and socio-economic development. The existing WASH policy, developed in the Year 2011 of Original Policy, has served as a guiding framework for the sector. However, with emerging issues such as population growth, urbanization, climate change, health threats, gender mainstreaming, and inclusiveness, there is the need to review and update the policy to reflect current realities and align with national and international best practices.
