1. INTRODUCTION
The Kano Independent Research Centre Trust (KIRCT) is a non-profit biomedical and healthcare research institution established for the benefit of the people of Kano State and Nigeria. The Centre conducts research on communicable and non-communicable diseases of public health importance across Nigeria and Africa. In line with its development programme, KIRCT hereby invites reputable, competent, and experienced contractors to submit pre-qualification documents for the upgrading and refurbishment of existing facilities at its permanent site.
