Brief Summary:
MERCY CORPS is an international relief and development organization working in over 40 countries worldwide helping people build secure, productive and just communities. Mercy Corps has been implementing the Small-Town Wash (STWASH) program in the Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY) states of Nigeria since March 2020. This program is funded by USAID and is intended to improve access to WASH facilities in these areas. Mercy Corps has been approved to expand this programming with specific implementation of Fecal Sludge Management in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. The specific interventions included under STWASH expansion include construction of a Fecal Sludge Treatment Facility (FSTF) for informal camps and vulnerable host communities.
