1.0. INTRODUCTION
The Edo State Government has received a grant from the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with the World Bank as an Intervention fund to improve on Maternal and Child Health program and to strengthen the Health System in the state under the Saving One Million Lives Program for Result (SOML PforR). The objective of the program is to increase the quality and utilization of high impact reproductive child health and nutrition interventions.
