1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 The National Cereals Research Institute is the oldest Research Institute in the Country. The Institute presently maintain ten (10) Outstations located in different parts of the country at Ibadan (Oyo State), Amakama-Oloroko Umuhia (Abia State), Uyo (Akwa Ibom State), Warri (Delta State), Birnin Kebbi (Kebbi State), Yandev (Benue State), Bacita (Kwara State), Mokwa (Niger State), Riyom (Plateau State), and Numan (Adamawa State).
The vision of the institute is to Generate and Disseminate Improve Technologies for Agricultural Production to Achieve National Self-Sufficiency in Food and Industrial Raw Materials with Surplus for Export.
