INVITATION FOR SUBMISSION OF PRE- QUALIFICATION AND TENDER DOCUMENTS/EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN ENERGY EXCHANGE PLATFORM

Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc (NBET) was incorporated in 2010, as part of the power sector reform agenda of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN). The goal was principally to incentivize investment in electricity generation, particularly during the transition period from public to private sector ownership and management of the generation and distribution segments of the electricity value chain. The FGN recently approved for NBET to transform into an Energy Exchange for the purpose of energy trading. The exchange will provide a platform for willingbuyers-willing- sellers to trade electricity and other related commodities bilaterally. NBET invites interested competent and reliable contractors/consultants to participate in the pre-quali ication exercise to achieve the mandate of creating a viable world- class Energy Exchange in Nigeria.
