INTRODUCTION
NESCO (NIGERIA) LIMITED currently has communications issues at most of her power stations which has greatly affected operations and monitoring within its franchise area due to weak/absence of mobile network coverage at these remote locations viz: Kurra falls, Ankwil 1, Ankwil 2, Jekko 1, Jekko 2, Kwall, Bukuru, Keffi Abu and Barkin Ladi. Additionally, internet connection in these locations will aid monitoring as real-time monitoring on surveillance cameras, remote transmission of machine parameters directly from the machines using suitable devices, remote shut-down/start-up of machines and SCADA implementation at these stations.
