PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Nigeria Plastics Solutions Alliance Program (NPSAP) is a 2 year-long project that is implemented in Lagos and Anambra States in collaboration with a local partner.

The goal of the Nigeria Plastics Solutions Alliance Program (NPSAP) is to reduce plastic waste by 49,000 MT by increasing the volume and quality of recycled plastics through inclusive, market-driven interventions along the value chain and enabling environment that will improve the competitiveness, sustainability, and profitability of 9,500 collectors (40% in Lagos and 60% in Anambra), at least 24 (or more depending on project inception activities) aggregators, and 10 recyclers, resulting in 10,000 work opportunities for women and youth and generating USD 4.8 million in income.
