The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has received a grant from the European Union (EU) through the World Bank toward the cost of the Strengthening Disaster Risk Reduction Coordination, Planning and Policy Advisory Capacity of ECOWAS, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the engagement of a Programme Assistant for Disaster and Risk Reduction Program.
