PROJECT BACKGROUND
BACKGROUND AND PROGRAM CONTEXT

TECHNOSERVE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to poverty alleviation through enterprise development, is overseeing the West African Fortified Parboiled Unpolished Rice (WAFPUR) Project in Nigeria. This initiative aims to improve the nutritional status of Nigerians, particularly children, and increase the incomes of rice processors. The project, implemented in Kano and Ogun states, seeks to promote the consumption of Fortified Parboiled Unpolished Rice (FPUR) through various interventions. TechnoServe is seeking proposals from qualified firms to conduct a baseline evaluation for the 18-month pilot initiative.
